Tennis Courts

International Tennis Hall of Fame

Play the same historic grass courts as Newport’s Gilded Age finest! The outdoor courts at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, located on Bellevue Avenue in Newport, are available to members and the public by appointment. 

 

Public City Courts

The City of Newport maintains several public tennis courts throughout the city, including Hunter Park, Murphy Park, Pop Flack Courts, Rogers High School, and Vernon Park. Access to the courts is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that the courts at Rogers High School are available to the public only outside of school hours.

The Portsmouth Dog Park is an off-leash park with free parking. In addition to its many amenities, the park is also completely handicap accessible.

 

Dog-Friendly Public Parks

Some local public parks are listed on the City of Newport’s website as dog-friendly. There are different amenities available at each park. Some have water fountains for dogs and many have waste bag stations throughout. More details can be found on the City of Newport’s website. Fort Adams State Park and Brenton Point State Park are also very dog-friendly. Please remember that dogs in these public spaces must be leashed at all times.
